"Like the Music of the Sun"

Commissioned for the inauguration of Converse College president, Krista Newkirk in 2017, this is a showy, celebratory quartet composed for faculty members of the Petrie School of Music. The title is a nod to Yes's Close to the Edge, the work on which I inadvertently modeled this piece.
